Roger & Denise's Favourite

December 2, 2008

Now we’re approaching the end of the wedding season (although my last wedding this year is December the 21st – brrrr, but ooh, christmassy!) I thought I’d round up some weddings this year by asking my couple’s what their single favourite wedding photo was, the experiment has thrown up some interesting results!

So first to Roger & Denise, who were married at Harts Hotel in Nottingham. They chose this photo as their favourite

And as for a reason why, Denise wrote: “Roger says that ‘it looks like a still from the wedding that was edited from the final cut of ‘Lock, stock and two smoking barrels!’ Guy Ritchie eat your heart out, I’m snapping at your heels (well, your heels from about 2001) I just looked it up, it’s worse than that, lock stock is actually 10 years old! How terrifying

Stay tuned for more!

In what is a ‘destination wedding’ for me, this weekend saw a trip up the M1 to photograph Susan & Tony’s wedding at the Georgetown Restaurant in Leeds. The whole day took place inside the restaurant including service, meal and dancing and a great day was had by all. Congratulations Susan & Tony!

Another landscape

November 23, 2008

And then that’ it. The last few weeks have been absolute mayhem, so much so that taking these pictures seem like a distant memory now, but I put a fair bit of work into them (including getting up at 5am!) so I should post something. This is a coastal defence at Herne Bay Seafront.

Back from Kent

I am back and alive, despite approximately one million accidents on the M1. Here’s a nice serene landscape to relax you

I’ll post the rest when I get round to processing them. Currently sitting in the work queue are a set of proofs and an album design first though!

Hannah & Alex’s wedding photos are now available. To see them you’ll need the password which is Hannah’s maiden name.

Sent to Kent…

October 30, 2008

Hey all

For the next few days I’m going to Kent to see Jo’s family. I’ll have the ‘crackberry’ with me for email access but if I don’t get back to you straight away please be patient.

Thanks
jon

Anna & Arran were married at Allington Manor in Lincolnshire. They had a very small and intimate ceremony with just family and close friends. Their daughter also featured in the ceremony, but luckily kept quiet when asked if anyone knew of a reason they may not be married! She of course, also feature heavily in the pictures.

Congratulations Anna & Arran!

Hannah and Alex were married at St Mary’s Church in Woolaton and had their first reception in the church hall, followed by a meal at Hart’s Hotel in Nottingham. They had a great day surrounded by friends and family. This is officially ‘The Wedding with the Most Locations of 2008′ as I travelled from the guys getting ready, to the girls, to the church (and church hall) and then onto Hart’s Hotel! All very worth it though as I hope you agree.

Ideas: Save The Date Cards

September 30, 2008

Planning your own wedding is great, as I get to trawl the web for lots of inspiration, but I thought I’d share our ‘Save the Date’ cards. As we’re planning our wedding in a pretty short timescale (5 months, actually 4 and a half!) we needed to get these out to people quickly. So one background, a few bits of card and me trying to think of some jokes to make Jo laugh and Voila!

My 'Save the Date' Cards

These are available to clients as well, get in touch if you would like some!

Cheers
