I'm getting married in the morning!

As I’m actually getting married myself tomorrow, we will be closed from Today (Friday 13th Feb) until Monday 23rd Feb.

I will respond to all emails and enquiries when I get back, all current print orders have been despatched and new ones will be processed on my return

Still so many jobs to do! Starting to get slightly nervous!

Snow in Notts

Well, as you may have noticed it’s been heaving it down with the white stuff recently. Driving around the county has been fun, especially as Notts County Council seem to have forgotten what gritters are for.

Still, it does give a picturesque view to a lot of normally ordinary places, this is only a few miles from home.

East Midlands Food Photography

As well as weddings, one of the other areas I’m currently working on expanding is my food photography in the East Midlands. The slideshow belows shows a range of pictures taken in real working restaurants in 2008. All of these photos were taken under working restaurant conditions i.e. not in the studio and usually in the middle of a busy service! Working under these conditions can be a challenge but also great when it all comes off!

New Year, New Website

Well kind of, I’ve made a few changes to the website, including giving the menus a spring clean and update, adding a few fancy bits (check out the contact form and about me menus) and a general update to the portfolio to reflect some of the newer pictures which hadn’t made it to the portfolio yet.

And as you can see, I’m not quite finished yet! Always busy busy busy!

Stephen & Jenny – Last Drop Village

Stephen & Jenny were married at the Last Drop Village, surrounded by friends and family, and a surprise guest, who had traveled all the way from Lapland, via Australia!

The Last Drop is a fantastic venue for a wedding, but all the more important to Stephen & Jenny as it was the venue for their first date!

Roz & Phil

Roz and Phil were married at Emmanuel Church, Sutton Coldfield and then had their reception at Packington Moor, near Litchfield. This was a slightly last minute wedding for me, as I was covering for another photographer, Gill Taylor, who had a family emergency. We often get asked what happens if we get poorly on your wedding day, well here’s the answer, someone else will hopefully be able to cover for us!

Lyndsay & Joanne's Favourite

Lyndsay & Joanne’s civil partnership was on August 30th 2008 (it seems such a long time ago already!) at the Gateway Hotel in Nottingham. The photo above is the one they chose as their favourite from their photographs. They write

There are so many photographs from the collection that we really love but we think that overall this one is our favourite. This was one of the first photos we saw whilst on our honeymoon as part of your preview selection on the website. It immediately reminded us of the beautiful weather, wonderful gardens and the vibrance, excitement and happiness of the day. This was the first opportunity for us to be photographed alone having just completed our ceremony. It also made us recollect you mountaineering and jumping on and off benches and walls in order to achieve the wonderful memories of our special day …. just like this one.
